So a big snow storm hit the Northeast this weekend. I arrived to the Pocono house we purchased and - yep it snowed! Living full-time in New York City we sometimes get hit with weather and sometimes - not. Up here in the mountains - they get hit.
Looks like we got about 2 inches?
And yes, I had to shovel to park in the driveway. Hmm - snowplow in my future?
A special sighting, but around here maybe not.
It was the start of tech day at the house. I plan to install all GE "Cync" switches, replacing the paddle switches that came with the renovation of the home. I'll be able to create custom lighting scenes for guests and also turn all the lights off remotely from NYC if needed. Also, I was visited by the cable guy and he flipped the switch for internet access. A highlight was getting the Schlage Wifi keypad for the front door setup. I've read it's pretty reliable and syncs well with short term rental websites.
Started looking at the fireplace and from our closing, the home inspector mentioned in his report that it did not work. The contractor looked at it and said he got it running so I placed the fake logs in there. Glad I'm good at puzzles.

I'm hoping next week to install a server rack in this spot.

Ended the evening at Olive Garden.
